About The Surf Club
Firstly as a club we represent you and the surf community of the Isle of Wight as part of the local community as a whole.
Whether you surf, bodyboard or stand up paddle board we hope to provide support, advice and opportunity.
This website is designed to be a first point of call for information and to help you find the support you need. If you can’t find what you need on here… we want to know!
We aim to act in the best interests of the surf community whether that is mobilising a beach clean together with Surfers Against Sewerage , putting on a surf competition at Compton beach, or telling you about all the latest surf related news through our Facebook profile.
As a club we are part of ‘Surfing Great Britain’ www.surfinggb.com
Surfing GB is working to become the National Governing Body (NGB) for Surfing in Great Britain. They support UK Surf Schools and Coaches, front-line professionals that depend for their livelihoods on Surfing and represent all surfers at Government level, and as a stakeholder group in Marine and Coastal policy.
Surfing GB membership also means as a member of the Surf Club you can compete in any of the surf events put on , whatever your ability, and know that you’re covered if you have a collision.
